Scrappbooking for Me

Besides my 12X12 albums, I still keep up with my kid's 8 1/2 x 11 albums f/k/a baby books. My daughter Chrissy is 20 and my son, Matt is 17 and I really don't know how to stop. I still need to update Matt's album with 11 years of little league baseball pages that I just had to redo (I may need another binder). I find it hard not to redo the whole book. I have this urge to update all the pages with all the awesome paper and embellishments but when I think about how, the desire to leave it as is, is stronger. I can still see myself as a young mother scrapping when I didn't have a clue. I would just put pictures and write a few words before I knew the whole process had a name. My kids love to look at their books over and over. And when a new friend comes over, usually a new boyfriend or girlfriend, they always end up with the giant binder on their lap going over the story of their lives, my world in a book. Here's my latest for Matt's book.

That's so awesome that they love the albums at that age. That just gives me such something to look forward to... Cute layout...

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MARITZA!!!! What a wonderful example for me - I'm only on 4 years! :-) It's so cool that your kids still enjoy looking through their albums... and I'm sure this is something you will share with future generations, too... HUGS!

Hi chica! You my friend are one disciplined chick! I have my kids baby albums done but...don't have any completed albums done of them only after that but...I'm working on it. My advice, leave the old ones alone, it shows where you were at that time in your life. The styles, your experience. It's part of that time. STEP AWAY FROM THE ALBUMS MARITZA!
