You Gotta Have Faith
From many challenges in my life, I have learned to just pray A LOT. I get comfort in just praying. Sometimes I ask for a little extra like strength and guidance or just to the ability to accept what I cannot change. I know that God hears me from experience. And then there are those very special days when I get a clear sign from God and I can almost hear the angels singing HALLELUJAH. Yesterday was one of those days. I don’t need a sign to know that GOD loves me but I like when HE does that. Thanks God!

My Version of Beach Cottages
It took me years but I finally finished this quilt. It's a paper piecing pattern and I took the class in 2003. It wasn't hard just very time consuming and boy did I make a lot of stupid mistakes. But it was worth it. I love the hand cut details. I love it and now I wish I could make a wall to hang it on. LOL. Too many quilts and not enough wall space.

Random Stuff
My 20 year old daughter just came up to me requesting a tummy rub(cramps). After 60 seconds I realized that I needed a hug from her so she complied and oh boy did it feel good. Not enough of those lately. Then she said that she read somewhere recently that parenting was like learning to live with your heart outside your body. And I said yep, that sounds about right.

Back from Vacation
Back from vacation and it was great. Nothing like spending 6 days with 15 people I love most in the whole world.
Mmmmmmmm love starting the morning with a cup of Bustelo and a good novel - Nights in Rodanthe by Nicholas Sparks. Very very good. After I finished the book it was fun watching two of my sisters fight who was reading it next. Funny.
My view in the morning
My sister, Chicky, taught the kids to whittle (carving with wood)
The kids went canoeing
boating
we all played a little volleyball
a little pool and guitar hero
and just hanging
Don't worry both are over 20 years of age. LOL
And then before you know its over and its time to go home. GOD WHYYYYYYYYY?
Oh well, no place like home. Back to work, laundry etc. but we'll always have our memories and lots of pictures. Life is good.
