Hawaii - 2018 Ohana Vacation Part One

For our #50statesinour50s  adventures, we had planned on going to Hawaii in 2018 to mark the half way point in our travels and to celebrate our 55th birthdays and our 35th wedding anniversary. And even though we're behind and we're not in the half way point or close to it, we decided to go ahead anyway.

Our trips are just about us but we couldn't imagine going without the family.  And with a whole lot of planning, budgeting and praying, we were able to make it happen.

To start, here are the pictures taken by a local photographer. It was a hot and windy day at Waimea Bay Beach in Ohau. I'm not completely happy with the pictures but because we were either squinting from the sun or had our faces covered in hair from the wind and not to mention how hard it was to get 9 people doing the same thing at the same time, it could not be helped. But like the rest of our trip, we created awesome memories.
