Ali Edwards

I finally started reading Ali Edwards' blog. I've heard so many good things about it. It's awesome. Really motivating and inspirational. Makes make want to find a field of flowers and skip. LOL. I went way back to the beginning (not done yet). How can one person blog almost daily and have so much great stuff to say. I have a hard time with a freakin paragraph. I get a little paranoid. Do I sound stupid? Am I saying too much? Who really cares what I have to say? I use to keep a journal since I was a kid. Then I stopped when I realized I only journaled when I was upset or depressed. Who wants to read that? I want to start journaling again but because I'm happy. I want to leave behind something my daughter/son can pick up and smile (or in my daughter's bawl) and think of our good times and good conversations. blah blah blah enough for now. later

Prep is part of the fun!

6 more days before we start our vacation. My sister Cindy, her 2kids and my family will be traveling to South Carolina to meet my other 3 sisters from up North. It's our mid point. We rented two houses by the lake. The houses are loaded with stuff to do with 2 game rooms equipped with pool, hockey and fooseball tables, 2 pools and big screen TVs. We rented a boat for 2 days for some fishing, water skiing etc. I CAN'T WAIT. Of course, I have a lunch and dinner cooking schedule, cleanup schedule and grocery list ready to go. I am soooo ready. I'm even looking forward to the 9 hour ride. We have the license plate game and Trivia ready for the ride. I love traveling with my kids. At 20 and 17, I love that they still get so excited to travel and visit family. They are so sweet when they are sleeping. They are so funny and have me laughing for most of the ride when they are awake. But after 3 hours, they start annoying the sh_t out of me with the infamous question "are we there yet? Or the more recent annoying question "can I drive now. It's my turn" God, Where did the time go? Anywayyyy,

OMG!

I had a blast yesterday at Scrapbook Central. Thanks to a wonderful circle of scrappy friends for including me in their festivities yesterday and making me feel so welcomed. Thank you Damaris for inviting me in your circle and thank you Ady for being the hostess with the mostess. It was so refreshing to here the chitter chatter of wonderful confident women speaking spanglish; it was awesome.

Happy July 1st

I Went to my local Puerto Rican Festival this past Sunday for the first time. It was nice. Of course the best part was the food vendors and good music. I couldn't stay long but long enough to wait on a longgggggggg line for a giant bacalaito (spelling???) my favorite. When my mother makes them I eat like (that's a secret) but I eat a lot. I later went to visit my Aunt who cooks better than all the cooks put together.
